I welcome the commencement of the works on the village improvements in Corofin.
The new footpaths are being installed together with the pedestrian crossing and 12 new public lights are also being installed. All this work will brighten up the village and make it safer for the community.
“I have requested that a traffic management system be installed at the bridge following a Safety Audit carried out by the County Council. I have also requested an overlay of the entire village be included in the 2021 Roads Programme. This will set out the walking and cycling paths together with the parking and a new road surface.
“I am delighted that Town & Village Scheme funding, which I allocated as Minister, is being used to good effect in Corofin. Great credit is due to the Corofin Community Development Association (CCDA) and Galway County Council who are working together on this project”
