I welcome the announcement of funding for Portumna and Castlegrove forests.
Castlegrove is to receive €115,000 and Portumna will receive €59,329 for the development of additional walking trails and an enhancement the amenities.
“This fund is required to help meet the demand of people using the facilities and is a partnership between the Department of Rural and Community Development and Coillte.
There has been a steep increase in the number of people using the forest parks and this funding will upgrade and enhance the visitor experience”.
