I have been notified that the Department of Sport & Tourism have today allocated €1.6m to various sporting organisations in Co Galway.
“This funding will aid sporting organisations to purchase much needed equipment such as maintenance equipment, mowers, tractors and other sporting aids in order to keep sporting facilities to the highest standards”.
Clubs who will benefit include GAA Clubs, Soccer Clubs, Athletic Clubs, Rugby Clubs, Cycling and Boxing Clubs. In all, approximately 52 clubs will benefit from this funding.
“I have been informed that the Capital Grants Funding will be announced later in the year, and I look forward to more positive news for sporting organisations in County Galway”.
