I have received confirmation from the Minister for Education that Lackagh National School has been approved for funding to provide additional accommodation at their school.
The additional accommodation includes two new mainstream classrooms and a special education teacher room to cater for the current demand within the school.
“The school had applied for the funding earlier this year and I have been making representations to the Minister on behalf of the school on an ongoing basis since”.
Lackagh is a growing community and the demands on the school are growing all the time and the additional accommodation is essential in the delivery of education in modern facilities.
