I welcome the fact that a planning application has been lodged by Galway County Council with An Board Pleanála for the re-alignment of the N17 road from Milltown to Gortnagunned.
“The project consists of 3 km of rural road to be re-aligned on the N17 National Primary Route and will involve improvement to 8 tee junctions, 36 access connections and drainage works”.
It is expected that a decision will be made by An Board Pleanála by June 2022.
“This project will complete the final phase of realignments of the N17 between Milltown and Ballindine”.
“It will provide for safer access and safer driving on this very busy national primary route”.
