CRAUGHWELL NS
I had a great visit to Craughwell National School to talk to the third class students about their project on plastics and the environment. We discussed the banning of single use plastics, which is one of the 17 Sustainable Goals set out by the United Nations. I also spoke to the fourth class students who had previously completed a project on water conservation.
It was a very informative and enjoyable visit and the students had some great suggestions that I will taking back to my Department, the Department of Communications, Climate Action and the Environment. I presented the students with my UN Sustainable Development badge and I was greatly honoured when they said it would have pride of place in the school.
