I have expressed concern that the Department of Education have refused to grant aid the construction of a Sports Hall at Seamount College Kinvara.
In this era sport, exercise and wellbeing are all part of the educational experience.
“It is incredible that Seamount College with a student roll in excess of 575 pupils is being denied funding for this sports hall facility”.
“I have received confirmation from the Minister that the Sports Hall is not a Department priority which is disappointing for the students, staff and Board of Management.
“This project is a basic requirement, and I will continue to put pressure on the Government to deliver”.
