Accommodation plans for the new amalgamated Tuam National School are actively under discussion.
Discussions on the accommodation brief for the new National School campus are ongoing between the Department of Education and the patron.
I have been informed that once the discussions are completed, the Department of Education will progress the project to the architectural planning stage.
The existing three national schools have amalgamated and are now treated as one school with effect from September 1 2019. They have a single roll number and a new Board of Management.
It is imperative that the Department of Education continues to progress this vital project for the future of primary education in Tuam.
