Loughrea is to receive a new Family Support Worker as part of a Government initiative to provide additional funding for Family Resource Centres (FRCs) around the country.
FRCs play a key role in supporting families and communities.
The allocation of a Family Support Worker in Loughrea for the Galway/Roscommon Family Resource area will provide greater capacity for the centre’s services to reach vulnerable children and families.
This is the third consecutive year that additional resources have been allocated to the Family Resource Centre Programme under the current Government.
