Gaescoil Riada, Athenry, has received approval to refurbish its toilets from the Department of Education and Skills.
This is very welcome news, which will enhance amenities at the school.
I want to congratulate the staff, parents, students and Board of Management on achieving this outcome.
I also want to thank my colleague, the Minister for Education and Skills Joe McHugh TD, for supporting the school’s application for the works.
Rural schools need our support so that they can improve and expand the facilities they offer. I am delighted that we continue to provide them with the funding they need.
