I visited Tuam Golf Club recently. The club has been upgrading its course and facilities following a Government grant of €94,391.
It was a significant investment in the club, which was part of a range of Sports Capital Grants in 2019 worth more than €2 million for 47 clubs across Galway East.
The grant to Tuam Golf Club was allocated to buy new equipment in order to maintain the high standards of the course.
The club is an important resource for Tuam and I am delighted to hear that they are on the lookout for new members.
I want to compliment the committee and the members on all their efforts in providing such a great sports facility for Tuam and its surrounding areas.
