Lawrencetown Community Development Group is to receive €13,943 in CLÁR funding for a sensory garden.
I am delighted that the group will be receiving funding from my Department under the 2019 CLÁR programme, which supports rural areas where populations have declined.
The Lawrencetown award comes under Measure 3c of CLÁR, which is aimed at funding projects that support community well-being.
Measures such as this make a significant difference to people living in CLÁR areas. CLÁR forms an important part of the Government’s overall strategy for Rural Development as outlined in Project Ireland 2040.
A sensory garden is a self-contained garden area that is designed to allow people to enjoy a wide variety of sensory experiences that they would not normally encounter.
