Minister Seán Canney Showcases Tuam Talent on World Stage with Gift to Irish Ambassador in Brazil
Minister for International and Road Transport, Logistics, Rail and Ports, Seán Canney TD, proudly brought a taste of Tuam to South America, presenting the Irish Ambassador to Brazil, Fiona Flood, with a gift of artisan chocolates from Tuam-based business Orange during his St Patrick’s Day trip there.
Minister Canney, accompanied by his wife Geraldine, was delighted to hand over a carefully selected gift box from Orange, a local luxury chocolate producer owned and operated by Frank Reynolds. The chocolates were warmly received by Ambassador Flood during a recent visit to Brasília.
Minister Canney said: “It was a real honour to showcase one of Tuam’s finest local businesses to our Irish representatives abroad. Orange is a fantastic example of the high-quality, homegrown enterprise thriving in the West of Ireland. Frank Reynolds and his team are putting Tuam on the map with their beautiful and innovative chocolate creations. Geraldine and I were proud to carry these sweet gifts halfway across the world.”
Founded by Frank Reynolds, Orange has earned a reputation for its unique blend of creativity and craftsmanship. Each chocolate is handcrafted in Tuam, with a particular focus on supporting local suppliers and contributing in a positive way to the local economy. The brand has steadily gained recognition for its luxurious presentation and distinctive flavours.
Minister Canney concluded: “Small businesses like Orange are the heartbeat of towns like Tuam. It’s important we shine a light on their work and celebrate their contribution to local communities and Ireland’s reputation abroad.”
