St. Patrick’s Day provides Ireland with both an international platform to deliver our strategic messages as well as access to key political and business contacts in leading markets around the world. China is now the world’s second largest economy. Total trade with China in 2015 was worth €11.13bn. This is an increase of 42% compared to 2014, when it was worth €7.84bn”.
During his visit, the Minister will engage in a full and focused programme to promote our trade, tourism, and investment in China, including attending business events and high-level political meetings. A key element of the programme will be the “Greening” of a section of the Great Wall of China near Beijing.
