Galway Rural Development has decided to open up LEADER funding to community facility car parks.
Galway East TD and Minister for Rural Affairs Seán Canney said: “This is very welcome. Applications can now be made for the upgrading and development of car parks.
“Car parks must include disability parking and be located at community facilities.
“This will greatly improve accessibility and safety around our community buildings.
“I would encourage anyone interested in availing of funding, to apply as early as possible.
“Applications should be made to Galway Rural Development. Anyone requiring advice on the process or application forms can contact my constituency office on 093-26476.”
