LAUNCH OF IMPACT IN ACTION BY BUSINESS IN THE COMMUNITY IRELAND

Great atmosphere today at the Business in the Community Ireland launch of its latest #ImpactInAction map detailing leading businesses’ contribution to local communities in terms of social corporate responsibility and sustainability.
I had the honour of delivering the keynote speech at this morning’s event at the Light House cinema in Dublin, in which I highlighted the importance of corporate volunteering in Ireland.
Policy around communities is an area of special responsibility for me in the Department of Rural and Community Development.
We intend to expand and support all forms of volunteering by bringing forward a national volunteering strategy.
