I welcome the inclusion of Milltown and Killimor in the latest round of the enhanced Town & Village Renewal Scheme to support their response and adaption to COVID-19.
Milltown in North Galway has been allocated €25,000 to develop co-working spaces with high speed internet.
Killimor near Portumna has been allocated €25,000 to refurbish part of the old school into a remote workspace with high speed broadband and associated facilities.
‘COVID-19 has clearly demonstrated the importance of remote working. These two projects when completed will provide the facility for people to work remotely and rejuvenate the village by locating jobs in these villages’.
