I was delighted to receive confirmation that an application to cover additional construction costs for a new classroom at Sylane National School has been approved.
The school has now been given the go-ahead for the classroom and associated works, all of which will be fully covered by the grant.
The project can now proceed to construction stage.
This is great news for the school, the students, the parents, the staff and the Board of Management.
The school has been suffering from overcrowded classrooms for the past two years and I am very pleased that this urgent situation has now been resolved.
