Galway East TD and Minister for Rural Affairs Seán Canney has received confirmation that Leitrim/Ballydugan Community Centre, Kylebrack, has been awarded €34,226 in LEADER funding from his Department.
Minister Canney said: “The grant is to upgrade the existing community centre to provide meeting rooms and a storage area.
“I am delighted for the local community and want to congratulate them on their successful application for funding.
“LEADER funding was set up specifically to provide investment for rural communities in need. It has made a great difference to many communities and I expect that more funding will follow in the coming months.”
LEADER funding is administered by Minister Canney’s department, the Department of Rural and Community Development.
