Following yesterday’s momentous signing of the National Broadband contract, I hosted a meeting this morning of the Mobile Phone and Broadband Taskforce in Dublin.
The Taskforce members work hard to deliver telecoms and broadband infrastructure and are constantly looking for new opportunities to improve our networks, working closely with the Broadband Officers allocated to each local authority.
The National Broadband Plan will transform Rural Ireland. We are now at the implementation phase. Groups like the Mobile Phone and Broadband Taskforce will ensure that momentum for the installation of high speed broadband will be maintained.
