The HSE are following the pattern of other state agencies by not maintaining any contact tracing centre in the West of Ireland.
“The HSE have decided to retain a centre in Dublin and Cork but have left the West of Ireland without any centre.
Whilst the reduction in the prevalence and impact of COVID-19 is reducing it is another decision by a Dublin centred organisation to close all Test & Trace centres in the West of Ireland.
People in the West pay taxes equal to other parts of the country but are treated as second class citizens when it comes to services.
I believe that this latest decision is clear evidence that the West does not feature, and we are left with the crumbs from each Government decision.
Other examples of this unfair treatment lies in the fact that there is no passport office in the West, yet there is one in Dublin and Cork.
The Governments mantra is definitely to hell with Connacht”.
