I have received confirmation that the tender evaluation for the extension of Craughwell NS is complete and the tender report is now submitted to the Department of Education for approval.
“Once the Department approve the tender the last act is for the Office of Public Works (OPW) to appoint the successful contractor”.
“This project has been on the agenda for too many years. I expect the construction work to begin during the summer with a programme of 9 months”.
“The much-needed school extension includes a two-story extension of 1,628 Square metres to the existing school to replace the prefab classrooms”.
“The extension includes eight new classrooms, a general-purpose sports hall, a multipurpose room, administration offices, principal’s office, access lift, toilets, carpark and a drop off and pick up area”.
“This project is long awaited by the community in Craughwell, and I urge the Department of Education to expedite the approval process and ensure that the project is delivered with out any further delay”.
