The closing date for the new €25m Sheep Welfare Scheme has been extended.
I would urge all eligible sheep farmers yet to apply for the scheme to do so by the end of the week..
The closing date for the receipt of applications under the Sheep Welfare Scheme has now been extended to Friday, February 3 and I welcome Agriculture Minister Michael Creed’s decision.
This will allow as many applicants as possible to avail of the €10 per ewe payment for farmers undertaking actions which make a positive contribution to flock welfare.
