Youth organisations have an opportunity to apply for Government funding to support climate action projects.
The funding is available from the €500,000 Youth Climate Justice Fund that has been launched by the Department of Children and Youth Affairs.
2020 is the inaugural year of the fund which has been set up to support youth-led action and innovation on Climate Justice at community, regional and national level.
It is important that we harness the creativity of our young people to tackle climate change and we are determined to do so in spite of the challenges presented by COVID-19.
The deadline for applications to the fund is Friday May 15 2020. It is open to applications from all national youth service grant scheme organisations and from Gaisce – the President’s Award.
Eligible organisations have been sent application forms by the Department of Children and Youth Affairs.
