Great news that two Galway East groups are to receive funding for vital health support services from my Department, the Department of Rural and Community Development.
Under Measure 3 of the CLÁR fund, which is aimed at funding equipment and services for First Responder groups, Eyrecourt and District Cardiac First Responders Group will receive €2,411 and Killascobe Community Defibrillator Group will receive €5,202.
The CLÁR programme supports rural areas where populations have declined. These measures make a significant difference to people living in CLÁR areas.
CLÁR forms an important part of the Government’s overall strategy for Rural Development as outlined in Project Ireland 2040.
