Tuam will be getting a new post box to replace one that was stolen from the Athenry Road.

Galway East TD and Minister of State for Rural Affairs Seán Canney had requested a replacement for the stolen post box from An Post.

Minister Canney said: “I asked that the post box stolen from the Athenry Road be replaced.

“On behalf of constituents, I requested that it should be installed outside the Centra on the Dublin Road.

“I am pleased to be informed by An Post that it has agreed to a new post box being sited in the area and that it is expected to be in place within the next month or so.”
