Seán Canney has been informed by the Department of Community and Rural Development that they have today allocated in excess of €300,000 for nine projects in Galway.
There are a variety of projects including the provision of safe and secure drop off areas, car-parking, road markings, to various schools and community facilities. Projects to benefit under Measure 1 in Galway East include St. Marys National School Menlough, Killeen NS Portumna, Abbeyknockmoy Community Playground Committee, Gort GAA Club, St. Gabriel’s NS Kilconnell, and Abbey Community Development Association in conjunction with Abbey NS Tynagh.
