I have received confirmation that Galway County Council are to receive additional roads funding from T.I.I. under the Pavement Capital Maintenance.
The funding will be used at the various locations for pavement overlays. A total of 10 applications have been approved with €1,273,000 being allocated.
This new funding is put in place to help re-surface sections of National Roads which are failing.
Locations to benefit from the funding include the N66 at Castledaly and Gort, N63 at Brownsgrove, Dunmore, and Loughgeorge, N63 at Ballygar, and the N59 at Moycullen, Ballinakill, and Clilfden.
‘I welcome this much needed funding for roads which are in need of re-surfacing’.
