Mullagh GAA and Community Facility has been allocated funding of €50,000 from the Department of Rural and Community Development, Galway East TD and Minister for Rural Affairs Seán Canney has announced.
Minister Canney said the allocation from his Department was for the completion of the walkway, lighting and car park at the club.
He added: “I am very pleased to announce this funding and I want to compliment the Mullagh committee members on all their hard work and endeavour and for having the foresight and vision to create these facilities in a rural area.
“I also acknowledge the work of Cllr Jimmy McClearn who worked closely with me on this project and I am delighted that together we have secured this vital funding for its completion.”
