I have received confirmation the Galway County Council have been allocated €3.6 million for the refurbishment of Tuam Town Hall.
The funding under the Rural Regeneration Development Fund will provide for the refurbishment of the iconic Town Hall in the centre of the town as a community enterprise hub, works included include restoration of the structures and the creation of community enterprise hot desk facilities.
“I welcome this funding as it will help restore the town Hall as an active hub of activity in the centre of Tuam. The funding comes for the RRDF fund set up and launched by Former Minister Michael Ring TD and I in the last Government.
Galway County Council are to be commended in the dedicated work in achieving this funding as part of the implementation plan for the Tuam Regeneration Master Plan. I now look forward to the commencement of the works on site”.
