I welcome the response from the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage on progress on Loughrea Fire Station.
“The Minister has confirmed that new Fire Station for Loughrea is included in the Fire Services Capital Plan 2021-2025”.
“Galway County Council have submitted a preliminary and detailed appraisal to the Department which are being considered”.
The next stage is the process is to appoint a design team to prepare the design, cost plans, tendering and then onto construction.

“I also recognise the great work carried out by the Fire Service in bring forward this project together with the proposed new Fire Station for Athenry”
