I have received confirmation from the Dept of Education that the tender evaluation for the extension of Craughwell is complete and the tender report has been approved by them.
“This approval paves the way for the successful building contractor to be appointed by the Office of Public Works (OPW)”.
“This project has been on the agenda for too many years. I expect the construction work to begin in the next few weeks with an estimated building programme of 9 months”.
“The much-needed school extension includes a two-story extension of 1,628 Square metres to the existing school to replace the prefab classrooms”.
“The extension includes eight new classrooms, a general-purpose sports hall, a multipurpose room, administration offices, principal’s office, access lift, toilets, carpark and a drop off and pick up area”.
“This project is long awaited by the community in Craughwell, and I look forward to the Building contractor moving on site and I expect that the project will now be delivered without any further delay”.
