I have received confirmation that Lackagh Heritage Centre & Museum have been selected as a centre for a Broadband Connection Point (BCP)
“This is good news for the Lackagh Heritage Centre & Museum and the surrounding areas. It will enable the centre to provide access to high speed broadband and will allow for people to work remotely in the local community”
The Broadband Connection Points are provided under a scheme I initiated when Minister for Rural Affairs to support communities where these is no broadband available.
The infrastructure will be funded by the Department of Community and Rural Affairs as part of the National Broadband Plan.
“I commend the Lackagh Heritage Centre & Museum and Noel Madden, Broadband Officer for the County who initiated the project.
