Seán Canney TD has received confirmation that the Contractor has been appointed to carry out the Town & Village Renewal works at Corofin village and the installation of the footpath from Rinkippen out to the Togher junction on the Dublin Road in Tuam. The same contractor has been awarded the contract to install the pedestrian crossings on the Galway Road, Tuam.
‘The works are expected to commence in the next 3 -4 weeks. The works in Corofin village are being carried out under the Town & Village Renewal Scheme and will provide for a pedestrian crossing, footpath and public lighting in the village’.
The works on the Dublin Road will provide a pedestrian link from the town to the Toghermore Estate junction.
The pedestrian crossings on the Galway Road will provide safe access for pedestrians and residents in the Housing Estates to access the shops in a safe manner.
