Today I am announcing a total of €87,412.61 in LEADER funding for the constituency.
The allocations are as follows:
€50,237.55 for the completion of a 160-space car park at Mullagh GAA club to include surfacing and relining works; and
€37,175.06 for building modifications and upgrading works at Kilkerrin Community Development Centre.
I congratulate both applicants on achieving these awards.
LEADER funding, which is administered by my department, the Department of Rural and Community Development, is specifically targeted at supporting disadvantaged communities.
It is a vital source of funding for Rural Ireland and it has helped many community groups, organisations and clubs throughout the constituency.
