I met students at Scoil Bhríde Mercy Secondary School during a visit recently. We discussed their very professional project about plastics and the environment.
The project aims to reduce the use of one-off plastic drinking bottles to zero, to provide safe drinking water free of charge to all staff and students and to increase awareness of environmental issues in the school community through education, action projects and awareness moments.
They have finance and public relations plans as part of the project , which includes detailed data gathering and clear action points. It was very impressive and exactly what we need – young people leading the way on Climate Action.
