EU Digital Day
I had the honour of representing Ireland at EU Digital Day in Brussels this week.
I signed three declarations: On women in digital; digitising cultural heritage; and strategies for agriculture and rural communities.
I had the pleasure meeting of meeting EU Commissioners, including Ireland’s Commissioner for Agriculture, Phil Hogan and Mariya Gabriel, European Union Commissioner for the Digital Economy.
I took part in a panel discussion on agriculture, where we considered the impact that digital technology can make on improving business efficiencies and sustainability for our farms and rural communities.
I also held meetings with fellow ministers, including Bulgaria’s Deputy Minister of Education and Science Karina Angelieva and Poland’s Minister for Digital Affairs Marek Zagorski.
A busy day!
