Funding announced from TII for improvement works

Funding announced from TII for improvement works on National Primary and National Secondary road in County Galway – Canney
Seán Canney TD, Minister of State for Rural Affairs, Natural Resources and Digital Development welcomes total funding of almost €21.5 million from TII for improvement works on National Primary and National Secondary roads in County Galway.
The funding includes for works to areas such as Milltown to Carrownurlar realignment, Claregalway traffic calming, works from Abbeyknockmoy to Annagh Hill. Also included are works at Ballindereen to Kinvara Phase 2 , Kilmeen and Kinvara, and works for route lighting and general maintenance.
‘In welcoming this money Minister Canney states that the condition of the roads in Galway are in a poor state after years of neglect, and I am delighted that TII are investing €21.5 million in the roads in the County in 2019.
‘I am also looking forward to the funding being allocated for the local roads and our County roads which will be announced in early January.’
