Canney welcomes CLAR funding for Lawrencetown Community Development Group

I welcome the decision by the Department of Community and Rural Development to provide €50,000 to Lawrencetown Community Development Group.
‘The funding is provided to the group for the provision of footpath, carpark and secure drop off areas in the village. The group are providing great facilities in Lawrencetown and I am delighted to have been of some assistance in providing this funding. I acknowledge the efforts of the group and the officials in Galway County Council who processed the application on behalf of the group.
‘I welcome this allocation of funding for Lawrencetown Community. The CLAR funding is a vital source of money to assist communities develop their communities to their full potential’.
