An increase of 13% in funding for the Local Youth Club Grant Scheme for 2018 was welcomed this week by Seán Canney TD.
‘The increase will bring the allocation to €1.79 million and will provide small volunteer-led youth clubs with greater capacity to reach more young people. These grants are made available to all youth clubs through the local Education and Training Board.
‘The allocation for counties Galway and Roscommon in 2018 is €108,725. Through the efforts of local youth clubs, young people are getting talents, skills and experiences which will make them leaders of the future.’
