Over 4,000 queries have been submitted to the Department of Communications in relation to broadband in County Galway, many of which are highlighting the failure of broadband providers to deliver the services which are required.
Broadband is being delivered in a very discriminatory way. The rollout is very selective and is causing division in communities. Broadband is vital for farmers, rural business and students and I am calling again on the Minister to provide the service in an equitable way.
There is no point in giving fibre broadband to sections of roads and leaving the remainder with nothing. The technology is available to do it right but broadband.
Time for broadband providers to stop cherry picking locations
