Local primary schools are being invited to get involved in the Blue Star Programme. The programme, which has been running since 2011, aims to foster better understanding and knowledge of the EU among primary schools and explain how it affects the lives of Irish citizens. In order to be awarded the Blue Star, schools carry out projects in relation to the history, geography, culture and institutions of the EU, what it does and Ireland’s place in it.
